Ulti-mutt Bakery opens Main Street Shop

Ulti Mutt Bakery at 426 Main Street was opened with a formal ribbon cutting Wednesday morning hosted by Historic Main Street Oxford.

The shop, owned and operated by Bobby Carson and Jennifer Kendall, features healthy treats for canines created by Kendall.

Mayor Alton Craft acknowledged Wednesday morning that Main Street’s newest restaurant was “for the dogs.”

That was not an insult, just stating a fun fact.

“This is fantastic and a great concept,” Craft said. “We appreciate you investing in our downtown.

Council member Charlotte Hubbard noted the proximity to Simmons Park, where many walk their dogs, makes the location a prime one for such an innovative idea.

“We are excited to be here and try to provide healthy alternatives for your dogs to live better lives,” Carson said.

The shop is open Wednesdays and Thursdays from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays and Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m.

They can be contacted at 256-615-1551 and at their website, ultimuttbakery.com.
