Special Election
7/15/2019  Sunday alcohol sales

The Oxford City Council has called a special election to determine whether residents in the City of Oxford want to legalize Sunday alcohol sales. The special election will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019. 


All registered and qualified electors of the City of Oxford, who reside within the city limits, and have resided therein for 30 days or more will be authorized to participate in the election.


The polling places listed below will be open between the hours of 7:00 a.m. CDT and 7:00 p.m. CDT.

Betta View Hills Church of Christ 2140 Highway 78 W.

Oxford Lake Park Civic Center 401 McCullars Lane

Oxford Cheaha Club House 910 Boozer Drive

Oxford Public Library 110 E. 6th Street

Friendship Community Center 2930 Friendship Road

Oxford City Hall 145 Hamric Drive E. Absentee Voting Only


Application for an absentee ballot by mail should be sent to:

All applications for an absentee ballot must be received not less than (5) five days 

prior to the election.
